WhatsApp Channel for Contact Extension

The Contact Extension feature now supports an additional communication channel: WhatsApp. Previously, Contact Extensions were limited to Email and SMS/MMS (GSM).

With this enhancement, you can now store and manage multiple WhatsApp numbers for the same contact and use them directly in WhatsApp campaigns.

WhatsApp Added to Contact Extension Types

When creating a Contact Extension Type, you will now see WhatsApp as a selectable channel.

How to Access

Settings > Campaign Configurations > Contact Extension Types > Add

New Option

Channel:

• Email
• SMS/MMS
• WhatsApp (new)

Selecting WhatsApp allows you to define alternative WhatsApp numbers for a contact (e.g., Personal WhatsApp, Work WhatsApp).

All existing Contact Extension Type fields (Name, Column Order) continue to work the same way for the WhatsApp channel.
