How to create segments for event tables (like shopping_cart event, order event ...)?
To create segments for the event table:
- Navigate to Audience -> Segments -> New.
- Select segment type (Interactive, SQL).
- For Interactive Segment:
- Enter the segment name and click Next.
- Add Filter -> Table Filter -> select relevant tables (e.g., master_table, shopping_cart_events).
- Example 1: List people who added products to their cart in the last 30 days:
- Select master_table and shopping_cart_events.
- Add filters for event_date and event_type criteria.
- Example 2: List people who cancelled orders between specific dates:
- Select master_device and order_events.
- Add criteria for event_date and event_type
- If you have SQL knowledge:
- Select New Segment -> SQL Segment.
- Enter SQL codes to create segments.
- Event Description:
- Click Settings -> Event Definition -> New Event Definition.
- Create Event Definitions for frequently used criteria.
- During Interactive Segment creation, select the Event Definition under User Event by clicking Add Filter.
Creating Event Definitions allows for quicker creation of criteria, especially for frequently used ones, streamlining the segment creation process.
How can I segment the data coming from Remote Source?
To segment data from a remote source, navigate to :
β‘οΈ Audience > Segments. Here, utilise dynamic queries with filters that automatically update over time. Use the Interactive Segment Builder to define your segment with filters, exclusion filters, and insights. Once defined, save your segment for use in your campaigns.
