Smarter Segmentation Without SQL: Interactive Segment with Remote Table
We have added support for creating Interactive Segments directly from Remote Tables. This means you can now define segments using data from Oracle, RedShift, MsSQL, or Google BigQuery without writing any SQL queries π. By linking a remote data source and pulling in its tables, you can filter and segment audiences in just a few clicks.
Why it matters
Marketers often rely on technical teams to query external databases, which slows down campaign planning and limits agility. With this release, you can build data-driven audience segments faster and use live information from remote sources without leaving the platform. It saves time β±οΈ, reduces dependency on SQL skills, and ensures your targeting is always powered by the most relevant data.
How to get started
First, define your Remote Data Table by navigating to Data Spaces > Tables > New > Remote Data Table and selecting the right source and schema. Once the table is set, go to Audience > Segments > New, choose Interactive as the segment type, and add filters from your Remote Table directly. Make sure at least one column is defined as a Contact Key to enable proper segmentation.
